Tasting notes
While best known as the grape of Argentina, this grape variety is actually from Southwestern France near Cahors where it is called Côt (pronounced “coat”). Swirl this beautiful ruby colored example around in your glass, notice its magenta rim, and smell the aromas of blueberries, black cherries, cinnamon, cocoa, red cherries, black tea, vanilla, sweet tobacco, dried thyme, dried oregano, violets, blackberries, black olives, pomegranates, and mocha.
